Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Vlissingen, and Antwerp together form the largest seaport in Europe, making them the logical starting point for imports into the European Union. The ports process enormous daily container volumes, making it an unpredictable and blurry process for an importer. Delays due to weather, congestion in port operations, logistics, customs, and/or similar procedures are simply part of the deal.
That is precisely why choosing an expert is a necessity. Our storage facility close to the port means short and fast transport between quay and storage, minimal handling, control over planning, smart importing (VAT & Import Duties), and control of quay/demurrage costs on the arriving container(s). Ferliner has broad storage capacity for dry cargo, its own bonded warehouse, and modern cross-docking capabilities in the region.
As soon as a sea container arrive, we take the entire process off your hands; we handle transport, (customs) formalities, strip the containers, store the goods, and deliver them to their final destination throughout Europe on demand. Since sea freight does not always arrive at the port at a convenient time, we collect containers 7 days a week. Ferliner customers do not have to worry about administrative handling with shipping lines, customs, or ship delays.
An additional benefit is our bonded warehouse: storage without paying import duties and VAT immediately. In our warehouse, you temporarily store goods under customs supervision. This provides flexibility, the ability to maintain a trade stock, and cash flow savings through the deferral of VAT and import duties. As soon as the shipment is called off, Ferliner handles customs clearance, and we organize onward transport directly from our warehouse.
